Moving from to your own blog/website

WordPress makes it very easy to export from to a self hosted blog.

If you are moving to a self-hosted blog using the software, you first need to obtain web hosting and have your blog/site up and running before transferring your content.

1. In the old blog, go to Tools → Export and download the XML (WXR) file to your computer.
2. In the new blog, go to Tools → Import → WordPress and upload the file you downloaded in step 1. Make sure that you choose the option to Download & import file attachments.

Videos uploaded to cannot be moved through the import process. However, you can continue to use the existing videos through VideoPress plugin, which provides an easy way to manage and embed videos hosted on the service.

You will also need to download and install any themes or plugins, as these will not be transferred. Widgets will also need to be setup again.

If you need help with this, just let us know and we will be happy to help :)
